Ukraine imposes new sanctions against Yandex, Rambler, Parus

MOSCOW. April 17 (Interfax) - Russian technology companies have been included in a list of 254 companies hit by Ukraine's new ten-year sanctions.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has signed the order to put the April 15 decision of the National Security and Defense Council into effect, Ukrainian media reported, citing the document, which has been posted on the president's website.

The companies hit by the sanctions include Internet groups Yandex and Rambler Group, automation service providers Parus Software and 1C-Galactic, as well as Sitronics.

The list also includes Ukrainian company Corporate Business Systems LLC (CBR) and eponymous Russian and Kazakh companies based in Moscow and Almaty.

The Ukrainian CBS is owned by its director Leonid Pashin and earned UAH67.4 million ($1.8 million) in revenue in 2022. The company won tenders held by the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU), Oschadbank, the Ukrainian State Radio Frequencies Center, state company Energorynok and Odessa Commercial Seaport.

The Russian CBS said on its website that it was founded in 1998 and is a software developer and systems integrator that provides services in Russia, Kazakhstan and other Central Asian countries.
