Mishustin calls for bolstering market economy institutions in Russia

MOSCOW. April 14 (Interfax) - Russia will continue to bolster the market foundations of its economy and will remain open to foreign partners, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said.

"An economy's stability is based on its market principles. Therefore, we must preserve and bolster the relevant institutions in our country," Mishustin said at an expanded board meeting of the Finance Ministry and Economic Development Ministry in Moscow on Friday.

"Despite attempts to contain Russia's development, we're remaining open, including to investors and global trade players," he said.

Listing priorities of Russia's economic policy, Mishustin mentioned "security matters, social support for vulnerable categories of citizens, technological development, the expansion of infrastructure, and integration of the new regions."
