Polish prosecutors to investigate illegal import of Ukrainian grain to Poland
MOSCOW. April 14 (Interfax) - All cases dealing with illegal import of Ukrainian grain to Poland will be forwarded to the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Rzeszow, which is to give due consideration to the case, Polish Justice Minister and Public Prosecutor General Zbigniew Ziobro said on Thursday.
The Polish justice minister added that separate investigative actions as part of this case will be taken under the supervision of the National Public Prosecutor's Office, the Ukrainian press said with a reference to the farmer.pl media outlet.
"The investigative team will comprise experienced staff of the Internal Security Agency, the customs and tax services, and the Central Investigation Bureau of Police," Michal Ostrowski, director of the Economic Crimes Division at the National Public Prosecutor's Office, said.
Six prosecutors from Rzeszow will investigate the violations, he said. The investigative team will look into all matters dealing with illegal import of grain from abroad, primarily from Ukraine. Any judicial proceedings on violations involving supplies of grain taking place in Poland will be forwarded to the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Rzeszow.
