Zelensky asks IMF, WB to support Ukraine recovery program

MOSCOW. April 13 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has asked the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank to approve a support program for covering priority projects for Ukraine's early recovery.

Zelensky made this statement via a video link while addressing the participants in the third ministerial conference on Ukraine organized by the IMF and WB, Ukrainian media reported.

"Thanks to our partners, most of the expenditures for maintaining normal life this year have been financed," he said.

Zelensky thanked the IMF for a new program, "which is an important stabilizing factor for Ukraine."

"However, for people to return to Ukraine, it is necessary to approve a support program to cover priority projects for early recovery. The overall volume of such projects is worth $14.1 billion," he said.
