Russia adds 333 Canadians to its sanction list
MOSCOW. April 12 (Interfax) - Russia has added 333 Canadian citizens to its sanction list, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday.
"Following the principle of unavoidable punishment, and in response to Ottawa's hostile actions, the Russian side has placed representatives of the Canadian leadership, parliamentarians, politicians of various levels, civil society activists, and athletes on its entry ban list," the ministry said in a statement on its website.
The list of Canadians subject to Russian sanctions currently includes 1,537 individuals and is available on the Foreign Ministry website.
