BAKU. April 12 (Interfax) - Chairperson-in-Office of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) and North Macedonian Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani has called on Azerbaijan and Armenia to continue direct contacts.

Speaking at a press conference in Baku on Wednesday, Osmani said he was informed of an incident at the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.

The OSCE may offer its resources to help the parties maintain communication and prevent such incidents, and the organization will do its utmost for such dialogue and communication to continue, he said.

Peace is important for both parties, and they should employ mechanisms to ensure peace, Osmani said. He said he supported initiatives aimed at achieving peace, as all conflicts, including that between Armenia and Azerbaijan, should be resolved peacefully.
