Russia registers 7,282 new cases of Covid-19, 39 deaths in past 24 hours - HQ

MOSCOW. April 12 (Interfax) - Russia has registered 7,282 new cases of Covid-19 and 39 related deaths over the past 24 hours, the coronavirus response headquarters said in a statement on Wednesday.

Russia "has recorded 7,282 new cases of Covid-19 and 1,259 patients have been hospitalized over the day, down 1.8% from the day before," the headquarters said.

According to the headquarters, the number of hospitalizations increased in 34 Russian constituent territories, declined in 42, and remained unchanged in nine.

The daily morbidity has grown by 1,350 cases from 5,932 recorded on Tuesday.

Thirty-nine patients died from Covid-19 over the past day, versus 38 the day before.

"Another 11,150 patients have recovered in the past 24 hours, up 14.1% from April 11," the headquarters said.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Russia has seen a total of 22,734,824 cases of Covid-19, including 397,681 deaths and 22,116,159 recoveries.
