Siberian Generating Company mulling purchase of power engineering assets - CEO
MOSCOW. April 11 (Interfax) - Siberian Generating Company (SGC) LLC, part of the SUEK integrated coal and energy company, is considering the possibility of buying power engineering plants in Russia, SUEK and SGC CEO Maxim Basov said during a conversation with the employees of the energy company.
"We are currently discussing with the technical management of SGC with the division [the service division of SUEK] on purchasing machine-building plants in Russia in order to reduce our risks and increase our efficiency," Basov said.
SUEK includes 30 coal mining enterprises; seven processing plants and installations; a terminal at the port of Vanino, Khabarovsk Territory; Murmansk Commercial Sea Port ; repair and mechanical plants in eight Russian regions; as well as Siberian Generating Company.
The company's service division also includes the Elsib machine-building enterprise.
