Russia registers 5,932 new cases of Covid-19, 38 deaths in past 24 hours - HQ

MOSCOW. April 11 (Interfax) - Russia has registered 5,932 new cases of Covid-19 and 38 related deaths over the past 24 hours, the coronavirus response headquarters said in a statement on Tuesday.

Russia "has recorded 5,932 new cases of Covid-19 and 1,282 patients have been hospitalized during the day, up 174.5% from the day before," the headquarters said.

Hospitalization of 467 patients was reported on Monday.

According to the headquarters, the number of hospitalizations increased in 65 Russian constituent territories, declined in nine, and remained unchanged in 11.

Daily morbidity has decreased by 690 cases from 6,622 recorded on Monday.

Thirty-eight patients have died from Covid-19 over the past day, compared to 34 the day before.

"Another 9,772 patients have recovered in the past 24 hours, up 40% from April 10," the headquarters said.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Russia has seen a total of 22,727,542 cases of Covid-19, including 397,642 deaths and 22,105,009 recoveries.
