Russia registers 6,622 new cases of Covid-19, 34 deaths in past 24 hours - HQ

MOSCOW. April 10 (Interfax) - Russia has registered 6,622 new cases of Covid-19 and 34 related deaths over the past 24 hours, the coronavirus response headquarters said in a statement on Monday.

Russia "has recorded 6,622 new cases of Covid-19, and 467 patients have been hospitalized over the past day, down 22.4% from the day before," the headquarters said.

According to the headquarters, the number of hospitalizations increased in 24 Russian constituent territories, declined in 38, and remained unchanged in 23.

Daily morbidity has decreased by 1,386 cases from 8,008 recorded on Sunday.

Thirty-four patients have died from Covid-19 over the past day, compared to 36 the day before.

"Another 6,981 patients have recovered in the past 24 hours, down 4.5% from April 9," the headquarters said.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Russia has seen a total of 22,721,610 cases of Covid-19, including 397,604 deaths and 22,095,237 recoveries.
