Armenian Defense Ministry clarifies in which U.S.-led drills in Europe country's troops will participate

YEREVAN. April 7 (Interfax) - The Armenian Defense Ministry plans to take part in two exercises of the U.S. European Command in 2023, ministry spokesman Aram Torosyan told the Armenpress news agency on Friday.

The list of participants in the Defender 2023 multinational exercise released by the U.S. Department of Defense on April 6 included Armenia among other countries. However, the Department of Defense later edited its statement and removed Armenia from this list.

"This year, the Armenian Defense Ministry plans to take part in two exercises organized by the U.S. European Command, KFOR [Kosovo Force] and Saber Junction," Torosyan said commenting on the reason for Armenia's exclusion from the list of Defender 2023 participating countries.
