Roscosmos proposes to Russian govt extending ISS Russian segment's operation through 2028

MOSCOW. April 6 (Interfax) - The Russian state space corporation Roscosmos has said that it has submitted proposals to the Russian government on extending the service life of the Russian segment of the International Space Station (ISS) through 2028.

"The Roscosmos state corporation has sent proposals to the Russian government on prolonging the service life of the International Space Station's Russian segment through 2028 inclusive," the Roscosmos press service said in a statement on Thursday.

The extension decision was considered and approved by the Roscosmos scientific and technological council earlier on February 21 and by the state commission on March 24, Roscosmos said.
