Russia registers 9,371 new cases of Covid-19, 39 deaths in past 24 hours - HQ

MOSCOW. April 6 (Interfax) - Russia has registered 9,371 new cases of Covid-19 and 39 related deaths over the past 24 hours, the Coronavirus Response Headquarters said in a statement on Thursday.

Russia "has recorded 9,371 new cases of Covid-19 and 1,155 patients were hospitalized during the day, down 10.7% from the day before," the headquarters said.

According to the headquarters, the number of hospitalizations increased in 34 Russian constituent territories, declined in 43, and remained unchanged in eight.

Daily morbidity has grown by 735 cases from 8,636 recorded on Wednesday.

Thirty-nine patients have died from Covid-19 over the past day, compared to 36 the day before.

"Another 10,879 patients have recovered in the past 24 hours, down 7.9% from April 5," the headquarters said.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Russia has seen a total of 22,689,110 cases of Covid-19, including 397,459 deaths and 22,060,308 recoveries.
