Tatneft might buy 50% of Turkish fuel co Aytemiz Akaryakit for $160 mln

KAZAN. April 6 (Interfax) - The board of directors of Turkey's Dogan Holding (Istanbul) voted on April 4 to approve the sale of a 50% stake in Aytemiz Fuel Distribution Inc. (Aytemiz Akaryakit) to Russian oil company Tatneft for $160 million, Dogan Holding said in a statement posted in the national information disclosure system.

The transaction is expected to be closed after the necessary legal approvals are received, the company said.

A spokesman for Tatneft declined to comment.

Aytemiz Akaryakit A.S. said on its website that it has 10 fuel supply terminals in different regions of Turkey and storage and filling terminals with capacity of 250,000 cubic meters. The Aytemiz brand currently serves 5.5 million drivers per month at more than 570 filling stations in 77 provinces of the country.

It was reported earlier that Tatneft's board planned to discuss setting up an office in Turkey at the end of February.
