German businesses willing to expand production, presence on Ukrainian market - PM

MOSCOW. April 5 (Interfax) - Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal has discussed the mechanisms required to expand production and presence on the Ukrainian market with German Vice Chancellor and Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Action Robert Habeck and representatives of German companies.

"First of all, the matter concerns insurance of risks for businesses, which will help intensify economic activity in Ukraine. We already have a pilot project with MIGA and first projects with U.S. company DFC. We are working to find a similar instrument with Germany," Ukrainian media quoted Shmygal as saying in his post on social media.

The prime minister emphasized that Ukraine has potential in the areas of critical raw materials, processing and military technology, which could bring many advantages and prospects for businesses.

"We also count on the support and participation of Germany and German companies in the post-crisis recovery," Shmygal said.
