Putin: We all understand that sanctions will last for a long time
TULA. April 4 (Interfax) - The anti-Russian sanctions have been imposed to last for a long time, and Russia therefore needs to develop medium- and long-term import substitution measures, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"We all understand that, of course, the sanctions will last for a long time," Putin said at a meeting of the State Council presidium addressing Russia's industrial development in the face of sanctions on Tuesday.
"Therefore, along with priority measures for the import substitution of technology and products, there is a need for medium- and long-term transformations aimed in particular at the strategic goals of the country's sovereign development," he said.
