Russia registers 7,836 new cases of Covid-19, 34 deaths in past 24 hours - HQ

MOSCOW. April 3 (Interfax) - Russia has registered 7,836 new cases of Covid-19 and 34 related deaths over the past 24 hours, the coronavirus response headquarters said in a statement on Monday.

Russia "has recorded 7,836 new cases of Covid-19, and 528 patients were hospitalized during the day, down 10.4% from the day before," the headquarters said.

According to the headquarters, the number of hospitalizations increased in 27 Russian constituent territories, declined in 38, and remained unchanged in 20.

Daily morbidity has decreased by 1,755 cases from 9,591 recorded on Sunday.

Thirty-four patients have died from Covid-19 over the past day, compared to 31 the day before.

"Another 7,737 patients have recovered in the past 24 hours, down 21.3% from April 2," the headquarters said.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Russia has seen a total of 22,663,962 cases of Covid-19, including 397,346 deaths and 22,025,358 recoveries.
