Ukrainian Border Service reports updated data on state border crossings

MOSCOW. April 3 (Interfax) - The number of people leaving Ukraine increased from 241,000 to 247,000, while the number of those entering the country rose from 235,000 to 265,000 over the past week, Ukrainian media reported, citing to the data of the State Border Service on social media.

According to the service, the number of cars crossing the western Ukrainian border also increased from 125,000 to 127,000, while the number of vehicles with humanitarian cargo went up from 568 to 688 in the 13th week of the year.

According to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, as of March 28, 19.741 million have left Ukraine since the crisis broke out, including 10.452 million to Poland, 2.852 million to Russia (data as of October 3), 2.415 million to Hungary, 2.154 million to Romania, 1.267 million to Slovakia, 795,600 to Moldova and 16.700 to Belarus.

At the same time, according to the UN, from February 28, 2022 to March 28, 2023, 11.200 million arrived in Ukraine (excluding the data of Hungary, Russia and Belarus).

The number of Ukrainians registered in Europe with temporary protection status or similar reached 5.008 million as of March 20, increasing by 61,000 over the past week.
