Ekoniva starts deliveries of dairy products to Uzbekistan

MOSCOW. March 31 (Interfax) - Ekoniva Group, one of Russia's leading dairy holdings, has started making deliveries to Uzbekistan.

Ekoniva is working on the local market with Balton Trading (Asia), a major national distributor of consumer goods, a Group press release said.

Export started with deliveries of classic UHT milk, as well as Ekoniva Professional Line milk. The products are already available in more than 60 Carrefour and Magnum retail chain outlets in Tashkent, as well as in the HoReCa segment. In the future, there are plans to expand the geography of deliveries in the republic and add butter to the assortment, the press release says.

Refrigerated trucks deliver the products to Uzbekistan, which makes it possible to provide the necessary temperature during transport, the press release says.

"We are constantly analyzing new export opportunities. The modern trade retail segment is actively developing in Uzbekistan, which makes this market attractive for manufacturers of various consumer goods, including dairy products," the sales director of Ekoniva Foods, part of the Ekoniva Group of Companies, Denis Ishmaev, said in the press release.
