MOSCOW. March 31 (Interfax) - The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) has drafted a resolution for sending a mission to the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict zone and is awaiting political approval by the heads of member states, CSTO Secretariat representative Yury Shuvalov said.

"The situation in the Caucasus is unfolding against the backdrop of the ongoing Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict. The Collective Security Council has a resolution on the table to send a CSTO mission to the region," Shuvalov told reporters on Friday.

"We are discussing the draft. If the political leaders and chiefs of the CSTO make the decision, the mission will be deployed," he said.

Shuvalov noted the resolution had in mind a mission to the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
