Russia registers 11,065 new cases of Covid-19, 34 deaths in past 24 hours - HQ

MOSCOW. March 31 (Interfax) - Russia has registered 11,065 new cases of Covid-19 and 34 related deaths over the past 24 hours, the coronavirus response headquarters said in a statement on Friday.

Russia "has recorded 11,065 new cases of Covid-19 and 1,308 patients were hospitalized during the day, down 23.7% from the day before," the headquarters said.

The number of hospitalizations increased in 21 Russian constituent territories, declined in 59, and remained unchanged in five, it said.

Daily morbidity grew by 315 cases from 10,750 recorded on Thursday.

Thirty-four patients have died from Covid-19 over the past day, compared to 32 the day before.

"Another 12,974 patients have recovered in the past 24 hours, up 4.1% from March 30," the headquarters said.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Russia has seen a total of 22,636,589 cases of Covid-19, including 397,245 deaths and 21,995,504 recoveries.
