German govt launches Ukraine Recovery Platform

MOSCOW. March 30 (Interfax) - The German government has launched the Ukraine Recovery Platform project for German companies that are willing to contribute to Ukraine's recovery.

"The Ukraine Recovery Platform is an offer by the Federal Government to non-governmental organizations based in Germany that would like to participate in the reconstruction of Ukraine, are interested in exchanging ideas with like-minded people or are looking for partners for cooperation. The platform is also available to Ukrainian and international partners," Ukrainian media said, citing the platform's website.

This resource will provide information about opportunities for participating in recovery efforts, funding and planned activities. The project, however, does not provide financial support, nor does it consolidate or coordinate offers of assistance or donations, according to the report.

"The Recovery Platform offers opportunities for networking at the European level, for exchanging best practices and contacts. Investing in Ukraine means making a contribution to a united Europe," the report quoted Ukrainian Ambassador to Germany Alexei Makeyev as saying in his comments on the establishment of this platform.
