Azerbaijan's foreign debt falls 9.5% to $6.7 bln in 2022
BAKU. March 27 (Interfax) - Azerbaijan's foreign debt fell $700.2 million or 9.5% in 2022 to an estimated $6.693 billion or 11.4 billion manat, the government told Interfax.
The debt fell from 13.5% to 8.5% of GDP.
Per capita debt was $655.2 as of January 1, 2023.
Foreign debt fell 7.8% in 2021.
The government says in updated estimates that it expects foreign debt will be $7.1 billion or 12.1 billion manat and 10.7% of GDP in 2025.
