ISS cosmonauts to perform series of spring-summer spacewalks for Nauka Module integration - Roscosmos

MOSCOW. March 24 (Interfax) - The Russian cosmonauts aboard the International Space Station (ISS) will finish integrating the Nauka module into the ISS' Russian segment during spacewalks this spring and summer, Roscosmos said on Friday

"In the spring and summer several spacewalks will be carried out by Sergei Prokopyev and Dmitry Petelin, whose main task will be to complete the integration of the Nauka multipurpose lab module into the Russian segment of the ISS," a statement said.

In particular, the module will be fitted with an additional radiating heat exchanger and airlock chamber, both of which will be transferred onto Nauka from the Rassvet small research module with the aid of the European Robotic Arm (ERA) operated by cosmonaut Andrei Fedyayev, the state corporation said.

Earlier on Friday, Roscosmos said that Russian ISS crewmembers had resumed practices in ERA operation.
