Ukraine meets 72% of obligations under EU Association Agreement - report

MOSCOW. March 24 (Interfax) - Ukraine has fulfilled 72% of all obligations envisaged by the European Union-Ukraine Association Agreement.

"Ukraine has already fulfilled 72% of all obligations under the agreement, which is an important element of Ukraine's integration into the EU's internal market. Overall progress in implementing the agreement in 2022 increased by 9%," Ukrainian media said, citing the report on the implementation of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement for 2022.

Greatest progress was achieved in the following sectors: intellectual property - 94%, public financial management - 90%, statistics and information exchange - 96%, justice, freedom, security, human rights - 91%, and humanitarian policy - 91%, the report said.

Least progress was made in such sectors as tax matters, sciences, technologies, innovation and space - 60%, social policy and labor relations 54%, transport, transport infrastructures, post and delivery sectors - 53%, protection of customer rights - 48%, financial cooperation and countering frauds - 24%.

In 2014-2022, the main executors of the obligations in accordance with the agreement showed the following results: the government implemented 70% of measures, the Verkhovnaya Rada 61% of measures, and other government agencies implemented 59% of measures.
