CBR extends restrictions on transfers abroad for funds of nonresidents from 'unfriendly' countries until Oct 1

MOSCOW. March 24 (Interfax) - The Central Bank of Russia has extended restrictions on transfers abroad from brokerage and asset management accounts for the funds of nonresidents from "unfriendly" countries for another six months, until October 1.

Such transfers have been suspended since April 1, 2022. The restrictions apply to transfers from retail and corporate accounts opened with Russian brokers and asset managers.

The decision was made to maintain financial stability.
