Around 80% of industrial software has Russian counterparts - Mishustin
MOSCOW. March 23 (Interfax) - About 80% of foreign software used in industry in Russia now has Russian analogues, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said, reporting on the results of the government's work in the State Duma on Thursday.
Work on the quality of such domestic products is now underway, he said. Mishustin also said that the launch of pilot projects to implement Russian computer-aided design systems, as well as products that are necessary for data and process management, will be fully completed at major enterprises in 2023.
"Creating and implementing our own technologies and solutions is generally one of our most important priorities. It is important to reduce our dependence on imported equipment, components, and software as much as possible. To finance such work we have expanded and relaunched a wide range of support tools," the prime minister said.
He also recalled that after foreign software suppliers left the Russian market, support measures for domestic developers were strengthened: soft loans for IT companies, exemption from field tax inspections, simplification of procedures of state procurement for IT companies, and the profit tax was zeroed for the next 2 years.
"As a result, the number of accredited IT companies increased. At the same time, sales of the industry's products and services increased by 22% last year," Mishustin said.
He also touched on the development of radio electronics in Russia. The prime minister recalled that the development program for this sphere was updated and focused on development of domestic electronic machine-building.
Mishustin said that over the last three years more than 238 billion rubles have been allocated to support radioelectronics, which made it possible to nearly double the Russian share of these products in the domestic market.
"Factories were opened to produce microelectronics - electronic modules, printers, computers, and peripheral equipment. We have supported more than 400 projects in the development of electronic equipment, components and means of production of electronics themselves. We launched almost 150 new projects in 2022 alone," Mishustin said.
