Roscosmos head names satellite navigation systems as key area of cooperation with China

MOSCOW. March 22 (Interfax) - Russia and China will cooperate in increasing the accuracy of navigation systems, Roscosmos General Director Yury Borisov said.

"The joint functioning of signals from two navigation systems always enhances their accuracy properties. This is the area that will be the main one in our work," Borisov said in an interview with Channel One.

It was officially reported that Russia and China signed contracts on September 27, 2022 to deploy Russian Glonass system stations in China and China's Beidou system stations in Russia.

Three Russian measurement stations should be built in the Chinese cities of Changchun, Urumqi, and Shanghai, and three Chinese stations will be based in Russia's Obninsk, Irkutsk, and Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
