Russia and China set task of multiplying cooperation in eight areas, including financial and transport - Putin

MOSCOW. March 21 (Interfax) - Russia and China have set the task of multiplying cooperation in eight areas, including financial and transport, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

"The joint statement on the plan to develop key areas of economic cooperation until 2023 has set the task of multiplying the volume of trade in goods and services and deepening ties in eight strategic areas," Putin said after talks in Moscow with Chinese President Xi Jinping.

He noted at the same time that we are talking about cooperation primarily in the financial, industrial and technological, transport and logistics sectors.

According to the president, "the governments of Russia and China and the business circles of our two countries should start working on the practical elaboration of the provisions of the statement without hesitation."

In addition, it is necessary "to agree on a set of measures for their implementation, filled with specific mutually beneficial initiatives and projects," he said.
