MOSCOW. March 21 (Interfax) - Russia attaches primary significance to investment cooperation with China, and the intergovernmental investment commission's portfolio of bilateral projects exceeds $165 billion, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said.

"We attach priority to investment cooperation. The intergovernmental investment commission's portfolio includes 79 projects worth in total over $165 billion," Mishustin said opening a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping at the Russian House of Government on Tuesday.

"Energy partnership is of strategic nature and embraces all industry tracks, such as natural gas, oil and petroleum products, coal, electric energy, and civilian nuclear energy," he said.

In collaboration with its Chinese partners, Russia is successfully implementing major energy projects like Yamal-LNG, Arctic LNG 2, the Amur Gas and Chemical Complex, and the Ust-Luga gas processing facility, he said.

Mishustin also highlighted cooperation with China in the high technology field.

"I am speaking of aircraft building, machine building, machine-tool building, and space exploration. And also of cross-cutting technologies aimed at creating innovative products and services. I am sure that broader innovation cooperation will bolster Russia's and China's technological sovereignty," he said.
