Moscow Exchange to ban cross transactions in anonymous trading modes on stock, currency, derivatives markets as of April 1

MOSCOW. March 21 (Interfax) - Professional trading participants and their clients will be prohibited from concluding cross transactions in anonymous trading modes on the stock, currency, and derivatives markets of the Moscow Exchange as of April 1, the trading platform said in a press release.

The innovation has been implemented in accordance with the instruction of the Central Bank of Russia (CBR), dated May 17, 2022, No. 6140-U "On amendments to the regulation of the Bank of Russia, dated October 17, 2014, No. 437-P 'On the activities of organized trading'".

The Moscow Exchange will simultaneously offer participants in the stock, currency, and derivatives markets the opportunity to choose the algorithm for processing orders submitted in anonymous trading modes in the interests of the same beneficiary along with the termination of concluding cross transactions in anonymous trading modes.

The ban on concluding cross transactions will not affect the targeted trading modes.
