Japanese PM heading to Ukraine to meet with Zelensky - media

TOKYO. March 21 (Interfax) - Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida is heading to Ukraine, the NHK television channel said, citing several informed sources.

Kishida is expected to arrive in Ukraine on Tuesday afternoon for a meeting with President Vladimir Zelensky, NHK reported.

Kishida initially planned to return to Japan on Tuesday following an official visit to India, but is now on his way to Ukraine, the TV channel said.

Kishida boarded a train in the Polish town of Przemysl at 9:30 a.m. Japanese time, it said.
