Russian PM backs project to supply grain to Chinese market

MOSCOW. March 21 (Interfax) - Russia supports the New Land Grain Corridor project intended to supply grain to the Chinese market, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said.

Like China, Russia "gives paramount attention to ensuring food security," Mishustin said at a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday.

"We support the New Land Grain Corridor project, which will facilitate deliveries of grain, leguminous and oilseed crops from the Siberian and Far Eastern regions of Russia to the Chinese market," he said.
