Russia's consolidated budget deficit totals 2.1 trln rubles in 2022 - MinFin

MOSCOW. March 21 (Interfax) - Russia had a consolidated budget deficit of 2.108 trillion rubles in 2022 compared to a surplus of 1.046 trillion rubles in 2021, the Finance Ministry reported on its website, citing a preliminary estimate.

Consolidated budget revenues rose 10.3% to 53.074 trillion rubles from 48.118 trillion rubles in 2021, while spending increased by 17.2% to 55.182 trillion rubles from 47.073 trillion rubles.

Oil and gas revenues grew by 27.9% to 11.586 trillion rubles in 2022 from 9.057 trillion rubles the previous year, and non-oil and gas revenues rose 6.2% to 41.488 trillion rubles from 39.062 trillion rubles.

The non-oil and gas budget deficit surged by 70.9% to 13.694 trillion rubles in 2022 from 8.011 trillion rubles in 2021.
