Completion of repairs on Ukrainian thermal power plants increases generation - energy minister

MOSCOW. March 20 (Interfax) - Power generation in Ukraine is sufficient to fully cover demand for electricity nationwide, and the completion of some planned repairs at thermal power plants has increased available capacity reserves, Ukrainian Energy Minister German Galushchenko said.

"On Monday, March 20, power generation is continuing to fully cover customer demand for resources," Ukrainian media quoted Galushchenko as saying in a statement available on the ministry's website.

At the same time, power supply limitations are still possible due to repairs on grid infrastructure in the Zhitomir and Kiev regions, he said.
