Russia sees 10,310 new Covid-19 cases, 31 related deaths in past day - HQ

MOSCOW. March 20 (Interfax) - Russia has recorded 10,310 new cases of Covid-19 and 31 related deaths over the past 24 hours, the coronavirus response headquarters said in a statement on Monday.

Russia "has registered 10,310 new cases of Covid-19 and 610 patients have been hospitalized over the day, down 22.3% from the previous day," the headquarters said.

The number of hospitalizations due to Covid-19 increased in 22 Russian constituent territories, declined in 47, and remained unchanged in 16, it said.

The daily morbidity has decreased by 2,023 cases from 12,333 recorded on Sunday.

Thirty-one coronavirus-related deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours versus 33 the day before.

"Another 8,593 patients have recovered in the past 24 hours, down 12.5% from March 19," the headquarters said.

Russia's Covid-19 caseload since the beginning of the pandemic stands at 22,516,509, including 396,865 deaths and 21,860,173 recoveries.
