Russia registers 13,009 new cases of Covid-19, 38 deaths in past 24 hours - HQ

MOSCOW. March 16 (Interfax) - Russia has registered 13,009 new cases of Covid-19 and 38 related deaths over the past 24 hours, the coronavirus response headquarters said in a statement on Thursday.

Russia "has recorded 13,009 new cases of Covid-19 and 1,403 patients have been hospitalized over the day, down 17% from the day before," the headquarters said.

According to the headquarters, the number of hospitalizations increased in 30 Russian constituent territories, declined in 48, and remained unchanged in seven.

The daily morbidity has grown by 963 cases from 12,046 recorded on Wednesday.

Thirty-eight patients died from Covid-19 over the past day, versus 32 the day before.

"Another 11,360 patients have recovered in the past 24 hours, down 19.4% from March 15," the headquarters said.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Russia has seen a total of 22,467,942 cases of Covid-19, including 396,734 deaths and 21,817,461 recoveries.
