Ukraine signs memorandum on cooperation in restoring energy sector with Energy Community - PM

MOSCOW. March 15 (Interfax) - Ukraine has signed a memorandum on cooperation in restoring the energy sector with the Energy Community, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said.

"The Energy Community, which includes most European countries, will help Ukraine in restoring the energy sector. The relevant memorandum was signed today at a meeting with a delegation from the Energy Community Secretariat headed by Artur Lorkowski," Ukrainian media quoted Shmygal's post on social media.

This concerns the support of priority projects of building and reconstructing the Ukrainian energy infrastructure, as well as the support for the reconstruction of alternative energy facilities, Shmygal said.

"We also discussed steps to further synchronize the energy systems of Ukraine and the European Union and increase the electricity export-import capacity," Shmygal said.
