Kazakhstan launches express train to shuttle goods from China to neighboring countries

ALMATY. March 14 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan's KTZ Express, a multimodal transport and logistics company has together with Atasu Logistics LLP launched an express freight train to deliver goods from China purchased online to neighboring countries.

"A scheduled shuttle train will deliver goods ordered from Chinese retailers online starting from Urumqi through the Alashankou-Dostyk border crossing to Russia, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan," KTZ Express said.

The shuttle train will run weekly. The delivery time to the final destination will be 7-10 days.

The company said that the number of shuttle trains would increase along with an increase in deliveries.
