Stabilizing power outages applied in some parts of Kiev and surrounding areas - DTEK

MOSCOW. March 14 (Interfax) - Stabilizing power outages were applied in some parts of the city of Kiev and the Kiev region on Tuesday, Ukrainian media reported with reference to the press service of the DTEK energy company.

"Outages have taken place in line with stabilizing schedules in parts of the Goloseyevsky, Svyatoshynsky, Shevchenkovsky, and Solomyansky districts of the capital. Stabilizing schedules have also been applied in parts of the Bucha, Obukhov, and Fastov districts of the Kiev region," it said.

Due to damage caused to the equipment, power generating facilities cannot transmit electricity to all households in those areas, it said.

"Therefore, as ordered by Ukrenergo, stabilizing outages have been applied in line with schedules," it said.

Ukrainian media reported with reference to the Energy Ministry that the national power system would operate without limitations on Tuesday.

"According to Ukrainian Energy Minister German Galushchenko, the volume of generation is sufficient to fully meet consumer demand for electricity all over the country," the ministry said.

At the same time, repairs are continuing on high-voltage grid elements damaged on March 9.

Power supply to some categories of customers might be restricted to repair grid infrastructure, the Energy Ministry said.
