Head of Zelensky's Office discusses Poland's role in Ukraine recovery efforts

MOSCOW. March 14 (Interfax) - Head of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky's Office Andrei Yermak met with a Polish delegation, which included, among other officials, State Secretary of the Office of the President of Poland Marcin Pszydach and Minister of EU Affairs Szymon Shynkowski.

One of the topics on the meeting's agenda was a Polish role in Ukraine's recovery, Ukrainian media said, citing the presidential press service.

Special attention was given to the process of Ukraine's integration with Europe and coordination of joint efforts by Kiev and Warsaw to help Ukraine move toward membership in the European Union, it said.

According to Yermak, Ukraine is in the final stages of fulfilling the European Commission's recommendations related to the EU candidate status. A priority for Ukraine is to start negotiations on accession to the EU before the end of this year, he said.

During the talks, the parties also coordinated a schedule of contacts at the highest level for the short-term, Zelensky's Office said.
