Paris has faith in Ukraine's successful integration into EU

MOSCOW. March 13 (Interfax) - French Secretary of State for European Affairs Laurence Boone has said that Ukraine's integration into the European Union should be successful.

"Now Ukraine's integration into the EU should be successful, as this is a matter of our common security. There has never been such an agenda in the integration process. The Ukrainian government is taking colossal efforts to meet recommendations in the accession process," the Ukrainian media quoted Boone as saying at the Ukraine-France forum on Friday.

She also noted the great anti-corruption effort of Ukraine.

Security, the economy, trade and the sense of belonging should be the main elements of Ukraine's integration into the European Union, Boone said.

"We should have been working on it earlier, but we can do this now," she said.
