Proton-M LV with Luch-5X relay satellite takes off from Baikonur - Roscosmos

MOSCOW. March 13 (Interfax) - A Proton-M rocket coupled with the Luch-5X relay satellite took off from the Baikonur Cosmodrome on Monday, Roscosmos said.

"A Proton-M LV with a Briz-M upper stage and the Luch-5X satellite blasted off from Area 200 of the Baikonur Cosmodrome at 2:13 a.m. today," Roscosmos said.

"The launch was nominal, the upper stage separated from the rocket's third stage and carried the satellite towards the target orbit," it said.

Currently, the Luch relay network consists of three vehicles in orbit and provides data to spacecraft, including the Russian segment of the International Space Station.
