BelAZ's share in Russian market for heavy-duty dump trucks exceeds 80%

MINSK. March 10 (Interfax) - BelAZ, a Belarusian manufacturer of dump trucks, has increased its share in the Russian market segment for extra-heavy-duty dump trucks to over 80%, the company's press service said in a statement.

"Today, BelAZ's share in the market of the Russian Federation in the segment of extra-heavy-duty dump trucks exceeds 80%, which is the highest figure for the past seven years. The leaders in 2022 were dump trucks with carrying capacity of 90, 110-130, and 220-240 tonnes. In 2023, BelAZ aims to solidify its position further in the Russian market," the press service said following a dealer meeting held at the enterprise with representatives of the distribution network from Russia.

OJSC BelAZ, the management company of BelAZ Holding, is one of the world's largest manufacturers of off-highway dump trucks and transport equipment for the mining and construction industries. BelAZ occupies around 30% of the global market for extra-heavy-duty dump trucks. BelAZ manufactures the world's largest mining truck with a payload capacity of 450 tonnes.
