Nord Stream sabotage investigation should be objective, impartial - Lavrov
MOSCOW. March 10 (Interfax) - Russia stands for a comprehensive, transparent investigation of the Nord Stream gas pipeline blasts and plans to consider a response to the West if no such investigation happens, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.
"Of course, we will think of how to respond to this outright attack of the West, which is actually an outright encroachment on our property," Lavrov said in the Bolshaya Igra (Big Game) program of Channel One on Friday.
Lavrov called for a comprehensive international investigation of the pipeline sabotage and said that the investigation must be objective, impartial and transparent and "should not be reduced to a conclusion that the decisions made by Swedes, Danes and Germans are the final judgment."
"I do not want to threaten anyone. I do not want to hint at anything either. I just know that this flagrant terror attack will not go uninvestigated," Lavrov said.
