Russian grain exports reach 40 mln tonnes since start of current agro year - Agriculture Ministry dept. head

KAZAN. March 7 (Interfax) - Russia has exported 40 million tonnes of grain to date since the start of the current agricultural year that began on July 1, 2022, Roman Nekrasov, director of the Agriculture Ministry's crop production department, said on Tuesday during a board meeting of Tatarstan's Agriculture and Food Ministry in Kazan.

"Russian grain exports have already reached 40 million tonnes to date. We understand that our agricultural workers and farmers are competitive globally despite all of the sanctions," Nekrasov said at the meeting.
