Ukraine to tighten physical protection of power infrastructure elements - PM
MOSCOW. March 3 (Interfax) - Ukraine has plans of tightening the physical security of power generation and supply infrastructure elements and will be actively implementing them this year while preparing for the next heating season, Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said.
"Last spring and summer, we worked out projects for protecting power facilities, ranging from concrete shelters to underground structures. We will be doing this job throughout the year in preparing for the next heating season. Additionally, we will take technical measures to protect our generating facilities. Some of them have already been implemented," Ukrainian media quoted Shmygal as saying at a press conference in Kiev on Friday.
The level of physical protection of power facilities in the next heating season will be radically different from that in October 2022, Shmygal said in his opening remarks.
