Two ships to deliver Ukrainian grain to China, Portugal

NEW YORK, UN. March 3 (Interfax) - Two bulkers carrying over 131,000 tonnes of corn departed from Ukrainian ports on Thursday, the Joint Coordination Center (JCC) said.

The Eternal Bright will bring 65,650 tonnes of corn to China, while the Mim Vangelis with 65,394 tonnes of corn onboard is headed to Portugal, the JCC said.

Two more bulkers are transiting the maritime humanitarian corridor on their way to Ukrainian ports.

"Total tonnage of grain and other foodstuffs exported from the three Ukrainian ports stood 22,878,331 tonnes. The total number of voyages enabled - 1,549," the JCC said.

According to the JCC, "104 applications for participation in the initiative have been submitted."
