IAEA expects safety and security zone around Zaporozhye NPP to be established soon- Grossi
BAKU. March 2 (Interfax) - The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is in negotiations with Russia and Ukraine to set up a safety and security zone around the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant and expects to achieve a result soon, IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi told journalists in Baku on Thursday.
The IAEA is keeping expert teams not only at the Zaporozhye NPP but also at all the other Ukrainian nuclear facilities, Grossi said.
The IAEA is working in Ukraine to make sure that not a single gram of nuclear fuel is used for military purposes, he said.
