Ukraine provided with electricity and heat - Zelensky

MOSCOW. March 2 (Interfax) - The winter was difficult, but Ukraine was provided with electricity and heat, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said.

"I held a meeting on the energy sector today [on March 1]. It was attended by everyone who is responsibility for the stability of our energy system. It was a long meeting - three hours. [It was attended by] energy companies such as Naftogaz, Energoatom, Ukrenergo, Ukrhydroenergo, and others, the government, the Office [of the president], the head of the relevant committee of the Verkhovna Rada [...]," Ukrainian media quoted Zelensky as saying in an overnight video address.

"The winter is over now. It was very difficult, and it would not be an exaggeration to say that every Ukrainian sensed this difficulty. But we still managed to provide Ukraine with electricity and heat," he said.

"We have set the current tasks to ensure that this heating season is concluded properly. And we have already started to prepare for the next season - every participant in the meeting received their share of work in this regard. We see risks and we will find a response," Zelensky said.
